I'm Brendan King, Play-by-Play Voice of the South Bend Cubs and a Professional Broadcaster originally from the Chicago suburbs. 2019 will be my third professional season and fourth overall in baseball calling games. I enter this year now with my MLB Broadcast Debut under my belt. This past September, I called my first Chicago Cubs game from Wrigley Field as the Cubs beat Milwaukee 3-0.

As a 2017 graduate of Butler University, my time in college took me to numerous ends of the county. Studying sports media, my collegiate experience featured covering the 2015 Final Four in Indianapolis, the Indianapolis Colts, Indiana Pacers, and much more. As the lead student voice of Butler Athletics during my four years at Butler, I broadcasted countless Butler sports, including basketball, baseball, football, soccer, and volleyball. In the summer of 2016, I served as the Play-by-Play voice of the Cape Cod Baseball League's Orleans Firebirds. After that summer, I knew that becoming a play-by-play professional and following my dreams would not come easy, but I was ready for the challenge. Following my first pro year with the Boise Hawks, short-season affiliate of the Colorado Rockies, I have landed in South Bend and am enjoying my time broadcasting each day from Four Winds Field!
